Prime Minister of Georgia and Minister of Education and Science of Georgia presented certificates to TLG Volunteers
08.06.2012
Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Nika Gilauri, and Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mr. Dimitri Shashkini, presented foreign Teach and Learn with Georgia volunteer teachers with certificates upon their successful completion of the 2011-2012 academic year.

Foreign volunteer teachers arrive to Georgia from different countries around the world and co-teach foreign languages with their Georgian counterparts.

The program Teach and Learn with Georgia initiated by the President of Georgia has been implemented successfully since 2010 and over a thousand foreign volunteer teachers have already participated in it.

In addition to co-teaching English in Georgian public school classrooms, the volunteer teachers are actively involved in the social and cultural life of Georgia. They learn about customs and traditions of the country and take part in various events.  After returning to their countries foreign teachers will serve as Goodwill Ambassadors of Georgia and inform the rest of the world about the Georgian culture.

The successful program “Teach and Learn with Georgia” will continue in the future.
